Moon Festival 2012
COMEEEEE ON DOWWWWWNNNNNN!!!!
If you’ve been contemplating visiting Cabramatta for a while but haven’t quite made your way out yet, then there’s no better time than the Moon Festival! I absolutely LOVE the Moon Festival, even more than Chinese New Year (too stinking hot and most businesses are closed).
This is the liveliest you’ll ever see Cabra! It’s one big street party with kids running around, colourful lanterns, food aromas and loud music.
– For the kiddos: lantern parade, lion dancing, free dumpling making classes, amusement rides and fireworks at 8pm.
– Three main stages with lots of family entertainment! Justice crew…..
– My favourite are the food comps!! There will be several eating comps :moon cakes, pho and papa roti!
– Too full?… How about the Prawn peeling comp?!
– Foodies will love the chef demos by Chengdu chefs: Chef Lin Mei and Chef Zhou Zhang
– Food stalls stretching along John street. yummmm!
When? Sunday 23 September 2012
Time? 11am – 8pm
Where? John Street, Park Road (Freedom Plaza), Railway Parade & Arthur Street Cabramatta (some road closures)

I feel like this article was written for me! I’ve been meaning to visit Cabramatta for ages and this seems like the perfect excuse! Yay!!
I am devastated I won’t be in the country for The Moon Festival this year. But I cannot wait to see and read all about it. x
I’m a little late, but it was great this year. Stinking hot though. Part of that was no doubt due to the mass of people.
Onward to CNY, hope my ‘stage’ fright doesn’t return hehe.
Last year! d’oh!
